About Me

KBB at revels

I’m a widow who cracked 80 last year. As they say, “Not pushing 80, but dragging 79.”  I have 4 daughters, 4 grandsons, 2 step-grands, 3 sons-in-law and one live-in, long career history, (30 yrs in the trenches of Seventh Avenue, 10 yrs Museum Docent, 15 yrs Chamber Music Newsletter Editor, ACMP-Associated Chamber Music Players, Author of 4 books, Easy Guide to Serging Fine Fabrics, Taunton Press still in print, available online .Taunton PressAmazon

Being totally on my own inspired the title of this blog. Many of my best friends are gone, the love of my life is gone, parents are gone (of course), don’t want to bitch to my kids too much, and, as I said to a doctor, “You mean, in spite of all the things that are wrong with me and how lousy I feel, I’m really in good health?”

Right. I’m going to post my struggles, my triumphs and, I hope, not too many failures, as I learn to fight all my own battles with time, diminished lifestyle,  and the medical profession.
